Volunteering is simple:
- Complete a background check
- Sign up for a time to volunteer
- Show up at the Primary School office 5-10 minutes before your assigned time
If you would like to sign up for more than one time slot on a day for a 2-6 hour volunteer time, please feel free! We would love to have one or two dads in each time slot, but we’ll see how we do.
Please sign up at least 2 days in advance to give us time to gather the volunteer list and get it to the Primary School before your volunteer time.
We ask that all volunteers also complete an online background check 5 days prior to volunteering. This can be done all online for $19.45 through Secure Volunteer:
All you need to do is show up at school at your assigned time. It’s best to show up 5-10 minutes early to get checked in so that you can make it to the classroom/lunchroom/other location by the start of your volunteer time.
There are t-shirts in Primary School the front office that are free for DNA volunteers who have completed their background check and are volunteering at school. Pick one up on your first day!
